homage to the busdriver who drove the 27 bus 01.00am 12th sep.
12-1.30 6-CL
Today started off good. Iwas in time, had my breakfast and came to work. It was packed. With staff..It wasn't dead during lunch but we were still too many working so I got my break a lot earlier than i was supposed to..four hours early to be exact. I sat outside reading my book till three when i got my lunch and then went for drinks with Jojo just chatting the rest of the break away..I love and hate those times. Cause you love it that you get enough time to sit there, have a pint and hang out with your friend/s but at the same time you still know in the back of your head that you have to leave and go back to work..
For some reason after i came back i was in a great mood (i think i know the reason) and served the customers with a passion. They loved me. I got cash tip from everyone I served, between five to 16 pounds from each table..Then I was sent off to the bar while simon ad his dinner and all of a sudden the tips were on the card or not much at all..I excelled and neither Jo nor the new guy Hamish could live up to it. which kind of got me in a better mood knowing that I actullay could do a great job..If I only had the will and passion to do so..but that can be hard sometimes, but I'll try harder from this day, cause i need the money. If only the rest of the nigt would run so smoothly..
So at around ten every staff member is ready for the customers to start leaving..not a soul decided to move..time went by..people kept buying more drinks and there was never an end to it. I wasn't so cheerful anymore..after eleven fire was spitting out of my breath and lightning bolts were shooting out of my eyes..Why should I have to stay for so long..not being allowed to tell people that we closed fifteen minutes ago or start putting up chairs..Useless. The new guy asked me how we put up with this..I smiled and answered, eventually you break and everything just is as it is. You get used to it.
So when Jo finally realised how annoyed me and simon were she let us go..I left the building at ten past twelve. But the misery doesn't end there..
I wait for the bus for fifteen minutes before it arrives..I pick up my book and start reading it. Halfway through the journey we hit a bump..or more of a block in front of us..in this narrow street something has happened, serious enough to close the whole road off with police cars everywhere and ambulance cars coming and going. I was stuck in the middle of some road. Great.
So the busdriver realises after five min that he is not going to get through, so he backs the bus over the crossing and goes back the way we came, obisously I'm starting to worry so I ask the couple next to me who went down to talk to him and they said he was just taking a detour. Fair enough I thought but that would mean I wouldn't be home for even longer time. I'm boiling at this point.. So the busdriver turns left, left againg, left again and then right and right on to the street where we left the accident, only we were 20 meters in front of the sight instead of behind it. At most we lost five min. How awesome is that?!?
So I got home 45 min ago..am so tired..and that was my day...great..
Denise: I've become a healtfreak since i was hit by the harsh reality that I'm going to be walking around in a bikini for six weeks in just a couple of months time. kind of want to look my best for that.
