Je t'aime Paris

Ten minutes till it's time to leave for one of the most glamorous cities in the world! Been there before, last time in the autumn when the trees were on fire. This time i suspect it will be the people and sun that burns.

don't know what we're going to do really. I'm going to try really hard to get Dave down into the catacombs but we'll see what happens..

the sunday will e all about Tour de France though so that day is taken. at least we have free WiFi in our room at the hotel so I'll try and keep you updated.

Overambition

So I found out yesterday that I now have been accepted to the Swedish University of Södertörns Högskola. I applied for a long distance program so that I could get a swedish art history degree but still work and live here in the UK.

I am actually really happy and considering accepting the offer. First because they made it so simple to accept and register for the course! I already now the starting date, what do to, who to see (or not to see) and what books i need to buy for my courses. What have the london met (the UK university) done? They have said congratulations, You start this date and that's it..Oh that I have to give them money. You see why I might be more temped to go with the long distance programme?

I was also feeling very overambitious and thought I might go with both? Study Arts Management here in the UK while also dong the long distance programme of Art History. But even though i think it might be easy I'm also 100% sure it won't be. It would be the ultimate crash course to get the basic knowledge of arts and then management at the same time. but I would be wrecked all the time and live in a box and weigh 10kg cause i wouldn't have time for work and therefore no money for rent or food.

So I have to choose. I thought that when it all came together the choice would be clear. UK of course. But, for some reason i still like the idea of Södertörn. hm...

The 7th flag

Hello everybody.

I have finally recovered fully from Glastonbury and feel ready to join the normal world again. Not hat i actually want to, but I have to.

Glastonbury Festival was amazing. Music from 1 Pm to 1 Am every day. Friends and dancing. Like the longest night at Koko ever. It was something to remember forever.

The first day we arrived was a nightmare. We left at seven in the morning to beat the traffic but because everyone wanted to arrive before the football started we got stuck anyway. A road that would normally take about half an hour at the most, took 6 hours. We were at standstill more than once. Might seem annoying. Imagine it being in about 25 degrees heat in a tinya car filled with stuff and three persons. I'm telling you. a nightmare. So we finally arrived at around five in the afternoon. so it took us ten hours for a trip that would take four at the most. we were tired. We still managed to pull our tents up though. We also managed to walk around the festival and get a couple of ciders in us.

Thursday was a day of nothing. sleeping most of the time do some more walking around to find everything and have a couple of more ciders in the sun. We saw a beat boxer called Beardie Man but because it was the day before the festival started there wasn't much else going on.

Friday. Started of early with Rolf Harris at the Pyramid Stage. Rolf Harris is an australian old singer with lots of funny songs. After him we went back to my swedish roots and saw Miike Snow at the John Peel stage. They were alright, but the sound was a bit dodgy. Straight after on the same stage Tegan & Sara knocked the socks off me. Although I didn't actually have any socks on. Now Glastonbury festival is famous for it's poor weather. Wellies are en essential part of your packing. This year though, there was never a cloud in sight! It was almost too hot if I dare say it! So after Tegan & Sara we went over to the Other stage (yes that is the name of the stage) to see Phoenix who killed it to and made french guys actually look attractive. But then again, anyone who is in a band is attractive. no? After Phoenix we caught the last of Snoop Dogg at the Pyramid. Funny stuff to dance to. Vampire weekend came on after and made us all feel very nostalgic. me and Dave had met up with Bonnie and her boyfirend Ed by then. poor Bonnie had already been so sunburned she was glowing red. After Vamipre weekend we got over to the John Peel again and saw Mumford and Sons. Amazing. In the sun, with a drink in your hand listening to that banjo and the amazing crowd. one of the highlights of friday. After that I split with dave. He wanted to stay at the John Peel to watch The black keys but I wen't over to the Other stage to see Hot Chip. Danced the hour away in ten min with bonnie, ed, and two goofy looking guys who had Baboon masks on. Those guys went to see Gorillaz afterwards over at the Pyramid, just like us. Bonnie, Ed and me met up with Dave by the 7th tent on the hill facing the Pyramid. After Gorillaz we had another drink but decided that we would save the rest of our strengt for saturday.

Saturday. Dave wanted to go see Two Door Cinema Club but we were too hungover os we stayed at the tent. After that I walked over the sit down by the John Peel and saw Sophie Hunger, dave joined me for Cymbals Eat Guitars and then he went back to the tent to regroup while i stayed and saw Field Music. We saw Wild beasts together and Delphic afterwards. After that we went over to the Other stage to fins Bonnie. After a bit of a struggle we did but we felt like crap and in the sun Kate Nash (who was playing) was not worth staying for. and around five we got over to see some special guest over by the Park stage. the day before, friday, Radiohead had been the special guest so we were hoping that the saturday special guest would be as good. It was only Biffy Clyro though. nothing special about them if you ask me. so we moved our way down to the Other Stage for dinner and Editors. They were much better. I hurried back to the Park to see Laura Marling with Bonnie and Ed She was good but the crowd was too big for her. By now were all in a happy drunk stage again an manage to run a 30 min walk down to 15 min to see Muse. Highlight of the week. They were Epic. Muse put up one of the best concerts I've ever been to. After Muse we were even happier and fellt invigorated enough to check out Block 9, Shangri-la and The unfair grounds. Three areas of the festival that were filled with mechanic sculptures, raves and all round freakish stuff. Not for the faint of heart but it was amazing to see how all these freakish stuff were so accepted by such a big and mainstream crowd.

Sunday. If we felt wrecked after the friday. You canimagine how we were feeling now. We got very lucky though. basically all the band we wanted to see on the sunday were playing at the Other stage so I came up with the brilliant idea that we bring our camping chairs, sit in the back of the crowd and just enjoy the music. And so we did. It was really good. Relaxed and ready we saw Temper Trap, Grizzly Bear, We Are Scientists and MGMT (although we stood up for that). By now, at seven in the evening we were ready to go again. We hurried over to the tent ot get ready for the evening. Ran down to John Peel to see the begining of Julian Casablancas who was amazing and the n hurried over to the East Dance tent to see Crystal castles. I was busy dancing. Dave went to the toilets and he rings me. Julian Casablancas was playing with the strokes. RUN! and run we did to see the end of Julian Casablancas and The Strokes. amazing. After that we finished the friday with Gomez over by the Avalon stage. also one of the Highlights. They were just as amazing, The best end to the Best festival.
We met up with Daves friends and went back to the tent. talked music till we were all asleep and dreamt of an amazing festival.

There was only one thing missing and that was you Jennifer. I miss you too. You have no idea. It feels like we keep missing each other. Either you're busy or I am. That's not how it was supposed to be. was it? Seperate lifes are good. but if my life is without you is not worth it. I tried calling you during Vampire Weekend. Filled with emotion and nostalgia. After that my battery ran out so I couldn't call anymore. I would if I could have.
I was looking through our first pictures from london. before we had met anyone, before we had jobs or homes to live in. We looked so happy and so naive. But god do I miss those two couple of weeks. When everything was new and it was you and me against london. The world. I miss you too is all I'm trying to say really.

Today me and Dave are going to a barbecue that one of his workmates are hosting. let's hope the weather stays this good as it is now.

see yah.

I had an awesome weekend!

Friday night me and Dave tried out the nightlife in Hitchin. Not good. Or I mean, if you are in company you love it's always fun, but the surroundings around said company was not so good. We had a couple of drinks in two of the locals. The first is probably the oldest pub in town and the other used to be an old coin exchange turned into a bar. both places were boring. the first was completely empty and serves shit beer. the other was filled with chavs and served shit beer.
The light at the end of the tunnel was the little mexican place over the local butchers. They made great cocktails, although the food was a bit boring we'll just try something else next time. So a littel bit tipsy and happy we walk home and listened to music till the end of the night. Great times.

Saturday we stayed in and tried to cure our hangovers with sleeping, cleaning, eating and showering. Not much else to be honest. But it was nice to be just the two of us, a couple doing absolutely nothing on a saturday together.

The same with sunday. haha yes. nothing on sunday either. We were going to go to london but it was raining so hard we really didn't feel like walking the streets of london soaking wet. Then the next plan was to go to the movies in stevenage but there where no films we wanted to see. Except for one, Shutter Island. But as it turned out Dave had already downloaded that during the week so we watched it at home for free instead. Not that good. Ok. but not great.

Monday day Daves sister, Carolyn, his nephew Finlay and brother in law Steve came buy for some lunch. It was really nice to have some company over in our house and Finlay was adorable as always.

I worked the night shift at work at it went good. A bit messy at first but it got sorted out eventually. not much else exciting.

Good night

It's been an emotional week with auntie flow back in town.

I really hate it. Not because it's grosse or annoying, but because it is painful. Truly painful. First day I can't find a comfortable position to sit, stand or lay down in. The second day my stomach blows up and causes such cramps from my bellybutton and down that I think I'm going to die (no I am not exagerating. it starts off with unbearable pain, which makes me hyperventilate cause I'm trying so hard to breathe, which then makes me dizzy, which makes me want to throw up). So I am lying on the sofa, crying, trying to breathe and feel the panadol kick in while dave sits uncomfortable in the other seat not sure whether to call an ambulance or just put me out of my misery straight away with the kitchen knife. No I'm joking..he just wanted to call the ambulance. I wanted him to put me out of my misery with the kitchen knife.

Today my stomach is still bloated and I've been walking around like I'm pregnant (it hurts too much when you walk normal, walking like a duck, or a pregnant woman, helps.). One of the customers today actually asked me when I was due. My stomach was round and bloated and I walked like a pregnant woman..so I said 5 months..I didn't really want to talk to a customer about my period problems so I thought I'd just play the game..she said I was glowing...

anyways, tomorrow, today, whatever, Is my first weekend completely off! and we have no plans!...what to do what to do...

Oh my god, what a day.

First the new guy doesn't show up cause he didn't think he was working today. CHECK THE ROTA DUMBASS!!!! So me and Michal had to do the job one man short (as usual it feels). But the worst is yet to come!
As we were in the middle of service, everything was going well, no stress, a guy walks in. He looks a bit dodgy but still normal enough to be accepted a table. He asks if we have a table for ten people ready. Sure I say, happy about the fact that we might actually make some money! So I set up a table in the back and tell him to have a seat. So he brings in his "friends"....... Nine people, all dressed and smelling like they live on the street! drunk before they even stepped in hte door!  and I can't tell them to get the hell out of my restaurant cause I've already said yes!! So there they where. In the back of the restaurant, smelling up the place and shouting stuff at me.."can we get this, I want this, oh and get this as well!!" meanwhile I was crying on the inside, wondering what I'd done to deserve this.
Luckily they where out pretty quickly, only minor verbal abuses for one dish and they payed for everything, inlcuding the service charge. Turned out the smelliest one payed for the whole shebang! Still wasn't fun though. I know we are a big company with a lot of restaurants that look excactly the same..Strada is not spelled H-I-L-T-O-N. but we still have some standards, not to let drunk hobos in to our restaurant!

that's it for now!

22-23/04/10

So what started as a day off in the beginning of the week ended up as a 12-12 shift instead. Hurray..

my brain is like mush really...I was supposed to be off on Monday, but came in for the evening shift so that Alex wouldn't have to work from 8 in the morning till close..as it turns out though...she decided to to take my night shift today but go home early instead so I ended up with one shift extra! ...not fun.. I wasn't even supposed to be in during the day, but because of her lousy rota (jobb schemat) michal (her younger brother) is working every day this week but only single shifts. So I had to take his morning shift today. Which sucks balls! Because now instead of having a normal 45 hour week (normal to me anyways) I instead get a 55! I hate going over 45, and even more when I go over 50. So you can imagine how I feel.

The only good thing about being walked on this way is that I'm getting more and more leverage (sorry for any misspelling). The harder I work, the less she can deny me things when I ask for it. Cause if I don't get what I want I can easily quit and get another job within the end of the week at another restaurant, but i t will take her up to a month to find a replacement and then another month to train said person and the nanother month to train him/her up as a fully fledged supervisor. I've been a supervisor for about three or four weeks now and I still don't know everything i should! I promise, it hasn't been due to my negligence though, she needs to email her boss about getting me a logon for the main server thing so that I can put in the hours after shifts and add card gratuities and stuff..I know how it works basically, i just can't do any of it cause i can't access the server.

on saturday me and Dave are going in to london together for the first time since we moved up here! or we went in once together before, but only on the train. the he went on to some business meetings and I met up with jennifer. but today we are spending all day together. wohoo! can't wait

good night

Today I went in to london and had lunch with my favourite girl. We found a nice little Tapas place in Angel although their prawn cocktail was a bit wierd. Tasted great! but it was drowned in the sauce! it was like a dip really..good thing we ordered a side salad so that we could mix it up. After that we moved to another restaurant (by the time we finished eating the sun had gone behing the houses). They had excellent drinks! I had a Martini morgldososd or something like that. It was Martini Rosso, shiraz wine and some other fun stuff and after that I had a Martini original with two olives.  We went there cause it was outside in the sun. the good drinks were just a lucky shot.

Dave made an excellent chicken dinner. It had green olives, sundried tomatoes and chilli and white wine and garlic and chicken stock..YUM!!  Although I maintain that it would be even better with rice. I don't think dave likes rice...

He also bought me Christian Diors autobiography, Dior By Dior when he was in london last! Don't I have the best boyfriend?

anyways..Work tomorrow night..Hopefully it won't be as busy as it has been this week.. It would be nice to just have a nice quiet night.

good night

ok so.. I have calculated that today I've been up for 13 hours and for those hours I have spent about 2-2,5 sitting down. the rest i've been walking, standing, or being on a bike... it's nice..

that's all really..as you can imagine..that means i've spent about 12 hours at work and..well not much happened there..

Today I went in to london to see Jojo. It is her birthday on friday (FRIDAY NOT SATURDAY) so i thought I'd treat her to some lunch. We went to a turkish place right off oxford street. The food was ok considering it cost £7.90 and came with hummus & bread on the side. Also shared a cheese platter which was amazing. too bad I didn't have a candle for her to blow out. Next time! Happy birthday anyways hun, hope you have a great day and that whatever Chris gives you from primark is horrible so you can give it to me. xx

so we also did some shopping, but i restrained myself a lot better than the first time i went. just a shirt, a dress and a top. the shirt was my shopping goal of the day and the rest was for pleasure. I needed a shirt to wear on it's own or as a light jacket for summer. It is about the same color as sand to go with the new boots i bought. What I'm happy with is that we went to about three or four stores but it wasn't till the last one that I found the perfect shirt for only £18! The ones in top shop and gap cost between £35-50 so I'm very happy with how patient I was till a found the lonely one hanging in the second hand section of Urban outfitters.

On the way back from london I got on the wrong train. I was in a hurry cause the train to Peterborough was about to leave and I needed to buy a ticket. Manage to buy the ticket and hurry on the train when I realise it doesn't even stop in Hitchin! I am so used to just looking for a Peterborough train i didn't stop to see if it was actually stopping where i wanted to get off. So I was taken to....biggleswade? or something like that anyway and had to take the train back two stops to hitchin. Luckily I didn't have to wait to long though and at least I didn't throw up this time. So I'd say the journey was still an improvement from last time..

I don't miss london as much though anymore. Or I take that back. of course i miss london. But I'm starting to get more comfortable here in hitchin and except for the horrible nightlife, It's not so bad. I'm getting to know people at work some more and I'm just getting settled, you know? everything is falling in to place, I'm starting to get some sort of routine and it's just good.

good night

My shoes arrived!!

Oh, or maybe I should say, I bought a pair of shoes online a couple of days ago and now they've arrived!! whohoo! they are so pretty and comfortable, I'm going to have to buy a whole new wardrobe to fit it, but it will be worth it! Yes I did the school-girl error of buying a fabulous pair of shoes that goes with nothing I actually wear. again. but this time it's not a mission impossible to fit my wardrobe to the shoes. I'm happy with the buy.

continuing with shopping. It sounds weird but I've found my wedding shoes!! No I am not planning on getting married anytime soon, not for several years at least. But the shoes!! I saw them first in Australia and fell completely in love. Not for everyday wear, but for my wedding. Now they are back and in store! Chloé Agathe 7 cm heel sandals in lace. as soon as I saw them i knew it. They are the shoes I will eventually (but not yet!!!!) get married in. but one problem. they are spring/summer wear of Chloé, which means I have to buy them this summer or they will be lost forever. They cost £465. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!?!?!?!

and with that..

I fit into a size 10 jeans today!! Go meee!!

I wish I could say it was because of a healty diet and excerise but no. just 57 hours a week and only time for one meal a day. excluding the swiss finger bun from Greggs that I have for breakfast. Like i said, no healthy diet here! So the story is that I wentt to buy jeans today after work. Now the store was already about to close and as I walked in I could see the disappointment in the sales ladys face! she wants to go home!! So I rush over to the jeans section (cause I desperatly needed a new pair), grabbed the ones I thought looked good, payed the poor girl, and left. Realised when i got home that they where size ten! I swore a little to myself, knowing that I have never been able to get into tens, but was determined to at least try them on. and they fit! and now that I've been wearing them all night they're even starting to stretch and become a little loose!

So at the end of the day, I found the perfect jeans in five min (every shoppers dream!) and got into a size ten!
no need to say..
this was a good day!

07/04/10

It is officially the next day.

I spent my first saturday off since i first started working at Strada going to the movies and having take out with dave. it was nice to just ahve a relaxing day for teh two of us. I'm working around 50-60 hours a week these days. Which basically means that I get one day off a week and maybe one or two nights. It is not fun. Sure i earn about twice as much as I used to. also considering more that half of the hours are spent as a supervisor. I get about two pounds more an hour as supervisor. but i get no time to spend the money. the only time i see dave is in the morning when his blurry face is giving me a kiss good bye before he goes to work.

I still love my work though. I got promoted within two weeks of working there and everyone is really nice. Except for headoffice that doesn't give a shit so long as they're making money. Why I'm working so many hours are because it is just me and my manager Alex (Alexandra) that can do managing shifts. but because we are also short on normal waiting staff I have to do half and half which gives me so many hours. But head office has decided that from aaaall of the candidates that where interviewed, no one was good enough for the job. But if they don't hire someone soon. Alex will go crazy cause she is working about 60-70 hours a week and then I'll go crazy cause alex will be driving ME crazy. it is a vicous circle!! So if anyone is looking for a job in strada Hitchin, please let me know!! All the stupid Cv's that people keep bringing in are these 14 year old chickens that have no experience and they are ALL looking to work part-time saturdays. We already have about 6 part time staff that can only work weekends. But NO full time. only me, Alex and her baby brother Michael who is working about 50 hours a week as well cause for some reason we are still short staffed on weekends cause non of the partimers can actually work weekends. You know.. they have partys to attend or a life in general that they seem to think that the rest of us lack. I so tired of hearing these 10 hours a week people complaining when they get a double saturday! get over yourselves, I'm having my day off tomorrow and then I'm working double shifts till I don't know when!

Anyways. People are starting to listen to me know anyways. It was a bit hard at first, being the new girl who knew nothing and then all of a sudden I was supposed to boss them around. but everyone seems to accept it and go with me. there are two new people (part timers obviously!) who haven't seen me as anything else so they will be easy to boss around.  need to find stapler clips for next shift though cause I ran all out and now tonights end of day bankings are temporarily put together with tejp. not good. but a left a note for Alex saying i couldn't find it and that she has to show me where she puts them. the office is a mess. I wish I could do something about it, but because I'm only supervisor I don't deal to much with paperwork (except for end of day banking and such) so I can't really organize stuff I don't know anything about. and alex seems to be in control..organized mess and such..i think..

ooh and easter! no fun.. Or I mean.. saturday with dave was fun! He gave me a massive white chocolate egg.. Love it... then on the sunday I got either a stomach virus or food poisoning from the dinner the night before so I was sick all sunday throwing up. on the Monday I was feeling well enough to get to work at four and close the restaurant..friday I was working double. that was my easter. so except for the good day saturday..not much to brag about..

tomorrow on my day off I'll neeeeeeed to do a load of white wash so I have some clean shirts for work. I also need to call the bank cause they screwed up my payment to dave. i should probably vaccuum as well..

Hopefully sometime next week I'll be able to get into london to see a friend or two. I kind of have to see one friend one week and then another the week after and so on and so forth. Cause I want to spend a whole day with everyone, but I can't afford going in to london more than once a week. I've been thinking it might be cheaper though if i buy an all day travel card that works on both train and underground. that way I won't have to top up my oyster everytime i go but use the same ticket everywhere All day.. have to check the prices on that though to see if i actually make any money on it. it shouldn't be more than 30 pounds or I might as well buy everything seperatly.

I should go have a shower now and then bed.. it's been nice to write everything down though.. I don't get to talk to people too often.. not about work anyways cause I'm always there and whenever I see dave he is asleep or I am. so hopefully soon enough there will be another input.

good night everyone

P.S sorry for any misspelling, but hey! It's fucking ten to one and I've just worked a 14 hours shift! D.S

The Dream

So that was Oz!

I am now back in England at Dave's sisters place. Nothing has changed. It's cloudy, cold and wet. Not the house of course but outside.

It feels like I never went. Those seven weeks went by so fast it makes my head spin, or maybe that is the Jetlag? The last couple of weeks were spent Just lazying around the pool and saving money. We went to Byron which is the most eastern point of Australia. Pics on facebook will appear as soon as I'm done with this. They also had some pretty cool shops but as I said, We were on a budget. The coast was absolutely beautiful but it was also very windy which wasn't to nice. Bare in mind though, it was still warm enough to just have a tee on. haha.

When we went to the Currumbin wildlife sanctuary we bought a two day ticket. The second day (after we came back from the roadtrip) was spent climbing the trees in their Jungle gym called "The green Challenge". That was a blast but god what a workout! We were about twenty metres off the ground the whole time. Climbing trees, ropes, swings and flying foxes! The link will show you the whole course on their website. I have to admit I didn't make it all the way. I got as far as to the red course (second hardest part). But at the end of it you had to climb down a big net before you could continue on to the black course. Now a net is easy enough to climb free style. But when you have to stop every second step to remove and reattach security straps, it takes a little on you arms. So By the time I got down it I was wrecked. I really have no arm muscles at all. I tried to tell myself that I just needed a rest and would be fine afterwards. But starting on the black course was a ladder. Sounds simple enough only the ladders steps were about a meter apart from each other, and again, you ahve to make sure your a attached with your security straps the whole way up. By the time we reached the first platfrom I was dizzy. So i decided to take the little flying fox down. I was dizzy and my arms like rubber. From what I could see the black course was all about arm strength so I saw myself defeated. Dave kept going though (my strong man ♥) and was rewarded in the end. At teh end of the black course is the biggest flying fox you could ever imagine. It must have stretched over a hundred meters! I was jealous cause i really wanted to go on it. We were both wrecked afterwards though and spent the rest of the week trying to use our arms as little as possible. WARNING: If you ever try this course, be prepared to discover muscles you never knew you had, and that is NOT in a good way.

We also went to Wet n Wild (finally!!) with Jaqui and Nigel and that was awesome. It's a water theme park with the coolest rides ever! They had this Cone looking thing and a steep back and forth ride that just kills your back but tickles your stomach so much you just have to love it! We all came home with several bruises and enough water in our noses to flood The Sahara.

Some other days were spent on the beach, in the pool, in front of the fan and one night in David's uncle's penthouse in the middle of Surfers Paradise. Absoulutely beautiful place. Imagine what you see on MTV Cribs and you get the idea.

I'm glad to be back and sad at the same time. Like I said before, the time went by so quickly It all really feels like a dream. But it was a wonderful dream. I met new friends and old. spent a lot of time in the sun, saw everything that you could possibly think of seeing and had e great seven weeks of experiences. I could see myself going back there another time again. Let me know when you've saved up enough money mom :)

This week will be spent trying to find a flat for me and Dave in Hitchin. Shouldn't be too difficult. We've aldready looked at places and there seems to be a lot availabe for us. It will also be a lot cheaper. about £600 for a two bedroom flat (tre rum och kök, svensk standard). Think that the little closet we lived in in Camden was £750.

Oh! and I'm starting the week with a kickstart too! Carolyn invited me to come to her Poledancing class. It is like their second class so everyone is kind of new and a lot of people will be going so it will be a good laugh I think. Let's see how long I'll make it before the Jetlag really kicks in or my arms fail me again.

Wish me luck
Love you all
Kristina

something, something, something vacation

Hello everybody,

Sorry I haven't updated earlier. I have no excuse.
So all the University stuff is done with now. I have applied to Five different unis in central London. Wish me luck!

So Australia then..
Everything has been amazing. I loved Melbourne. It was definetly my kind of city. Architectual mayhem! Teh only prolbem with it was that the weather was sooo wierd! One minute it was boiling heat and then two minutes later it started raining! what's up with that? When I met up with Jennifer the first time it was sunny and warm and she had a jacket with her. I asked "what's up with the jacket, it boiling!" ad all i got was..You'll see. And sure enough. Ten minutes alter the wind picked up and I was freezing! not Jen though..cause she had her jacket..then another ten minutes and she was sweating though and i was back to normal..Wierd! We went to museums and my favourite part..Shopping!! One of dresses broke so I replaced it with two new ones. Gotta love the logic in that.

After melbourne we had a quick stop in Canberra to got to The National museum of Australia were they had a special exhibition of Masterpieces from Paris. That was amazing. It was about Post-impressionism wich is one of my favourites. All the pieces looked like old photgraphs or painted by memory wich makes them look so much more real to me.

From Canberra on to Sidney, which i think has been my favourite on this Journey. Sun everyday. We saw all the landmarks and ate dinner by the harbour (were Nemo was!!) watching the sun go down. We stayed at a great hotel for a lot cheaper than it should have been. It was four and half star for over half the price and i felt really pampered. It was in the middle of teh city and I had a reallt great time. We also took river cruises around the city. Both by night and day. It was beautiful. It was my favourite time because it felt like a real holiday. It was just me and Dave and we were both tourists. Sure it's been great to see everyone from london again and I have had a great time meeting new people. But it was nice to be able to slow down and just be the two of us.

Being back on the coast has been nice too. We've been able to relax. see some more friends and just enjoy our vacation. Only problem though is that there is no sun because of the stupid clouds!!!
Tomorrow we are going to Byron wich is the most western coast of Australia..If i remember correctly and then some other time this week we are going back to the sanctuary to climb and swing through trees in a sort of adult Jungle Gym. Looking forward to that!

Hope you guys are having a fantastic time as well.. I miss london and everyone. Being on the other side of the world feels wierd...

Hope I can do this again at some point. Have to slap myself from being so lazy.

Love you guys
